‘Katrina’s Mango’ at ‘Shakira Crunch’, Hyderabad cafe menu is inappropriate AF

Hyderabad, the city of pearls, is known for its rich heritage and finger-licking cuisine. One of the most popular malls in this high-tech city is the Banjara Hills area which has several upscale hotels, restaurants, cafes and malls. One of those cafes in Banjara Hills is Ohri’s Eatmor Cafe, which looks like any other cafe until you look at its menu card.

The popularity of the cafe is such that it has outlets in 22 other locations in the city itself. But Ohri’s Eatmor in Banjara Hills has a bizarre menu that features milkshakes listed under “Item Bombs” (!!) and named after celebrities from Bollywood and Hollywood. Does something seem rather strange and rather inappropriate and sexist? This is the case for us.

There are two things that are absolutely bizarre about Ohri’s Eatmor menu, first, why a sane person would name milkshakes like Item Bombs. They surely get a minus 100 for this level of creativity and the second thing is what is the fascination with Katrina, Beyonce, Shakira, Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu? The reason becomes clear when you realize that all of these celebrities have either done article numbers or are popstars, making them “article bombs”. Wow! It’s as inappropriate as it gets.

Why can’t he just say, Milkshakes? Just why?

Hello, what does this “Bhaiya ek Katrina’s Mango dena” promotional message mean? Don’t worry, they fully understand what you want.

“Are you shaking with Shakira?” Yeaaaaah .. It really makes me want to have this milkshake. Like now. -_-

Because otherwise a normal “shake Oreo” is too boring to even try.

We thought click bait was a problem that only the media suffer from. When did we transfer the problem to cafes and restaurants?
