Morrisons adds vegan lasagna and chocolate cake to its cafe menu

Morrisons Supermarket has expanded its in-store cafe menu to include a hearty vegan lasagna and a three-tiered chocolate cake.

UK supermarket chain Morrisons has announced the launch of a whole new line of vegan ready meals and desserts in 2018 with the aim of providing more choices for vegan customers.

Now he’s expanded his in-store cafe menu to include a hearty vegan option – Vegan Butternut Squash & Lentil Lasagna (£ 5.50). The lasagna includes four layers of tomato and lentil lasagna in a stew and butternut squash sauce and is served with a salad.

The UK’s fourth-largest supermarket chain is also offering shoppers looking for a sweet treat the option of a decadent three-layered chocolate oozing silky chocolate buttercream.

The supermarket has added more vegan options to stores over the past year with the addition of a brand new vegan pizza to its pizza counter, a first for the supermarket. New Vegan BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Pizza features BBQ pulled jackfruit, peppers and vegan cheese, available to purchase at the do-it-yourself pizza counter.

Morrisons also caused a stir earlier this year with the launch of vegan mozzarella sticks featuring vegan cheese made from a blend of coconut oil and potato starch and coated in crispy golden parsley breadcrumbs. .
