Inspired by the rich world of the festive season, this limited edition coffee delights with a wide range of spice notes such as cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. Combined with a sweet pumpkin flavor, this creates a sweet blend of Arabica from Latin American and African coffees for a gourmet treat. With the addition of a dash of milk, the spice notes are softened for a smoother, smoother coffee with hints of buttery biscuit.

Gourmet coffee recipes to start the holiday season off right:

“October marks the start of the holiday season for many coffee lovers around the world, with pumpkin flavors typically celebrated around Halloween,” Jaime shares. “Pumpkin Spice is a flavor that is synonymous with celebrations at this time of year, and almost feels like a welcome to the start of a season of indulgence.

“We are celebrating two of the newest additions to the Barista Creations Flavored line with our improved coffee recipes, as well as Vertuo’s fan-favorite Vanilla Custard Pie. All of our recipes have been tested with alternative milks, with New Zealand’s popular oat milk being our top recommendation for each of the three recipes below.

PUMPKIN AND SPICE LATTE

With NESPRESSO VERTUO SPICE CAKE WITH PUMPKIN

Ingredients:

  • 1 x Vertuo Pumpkin Spice Cake pod
  • 35g White Chocolate
  • 125 ml milk or oat milk
  • Pinch of ground spices
  • Vertuo Mug

Method:

  1. Place 35 g of white chocolate in the Barista milk device.
  2. Add 125 ml of oat milk and froth in “Moka Viennese” mode until complete.
  3. Extract 1 x Pumpkin Spice Cake Capsule into the cup.
  4. Add the white chocolate and milk mixture.
  5. Garnish with all the ground spices.

CHOCOLATE MOCHA FUDGE

with NESPRESSO VERTUO CHOCOLATE FUDGE

Ingredients:

  • 1 x Vertuo chocolate fondant capsule
  • 20g milk chocolate
  • 125 ml milk or oat milk
  • Chocolate powder
  • Vertuo Mug

Method:

  1. Froth 125 ml of milk in the Barista or Aeroccino4 milk maker and pour it into the bottom of the cup.
  2. Place a 20g milk chocolate bar on the rim of the cup.
  3. Extract 1x capsule of chocolate fondant directly on top of the chocolate, dropping it into the cup as it melts.
  4. Garnish with chocolate powder.

HONEY AND VANILLA LATTE

with NESPRESSO VERTUO VANILLA CUSTARD PIE

Ingredients:

  • 1 x Vertuo Vanilla Pie vsassume
  • 80 ml milk or oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 5 g crushed honeycomb to garnish
  • Vertuo Mug

Method:

  1. Add 80ml of oat milk and 1 teaspoon of honey to your Barista milk maker and froth on the ‘Latte Art’ setting.
  2. Extract 230ml of Vanilla Custard Pie into a Vertuo cup.
  3. Pour the milk and honey mixture on top.
  4. Garnish with crushed honeycomb.
