Google Pixel Watch design and specs leaked
The Google Pixel Watch’s battery capacity has been leaked, following a full design reveal after a prototype unit was allegedly left in a restaurant earlier this week.
Google’s next Pixel Watch has a 300mAh battery according to 9to5Googlealthough recently released Bluetooth certification documents suggest there will be three variants of the watch.
The 300mAh battery capacity is pretty standard for a smartwatch and falls between the 361mAh of the 46mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the 247mAh of the 40mm version.
Such capacity suggests that, much like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, the Pixel Watch is a smartwatch that you’ll likely need to charge every day.
There would also be a variant of the watch with cellular connectivity, just like the Galay Watch 4 and Apple Watch Series 7 ranges.
The most interesting recent Pixel Watch leak, however, is the design. Full photos of the watch have been released after a prototype was reportedly left in a restaurant.
Its face resembles a pebble of glass, the front face forming a dome without a separate bezel. The design of the HR sensor array is also different from that of a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
It appears to use three sets of light sensors, with a fourth small rectangle at the back containing the LEDs used for optical heart rate readings.
The fact that leaked details are currently falling in droves and quickly suggests that, as expected, the Pixel Watch could be officially announced at Google I/O. The conference takes place on May 11 and 12.
