Joe’s Kwik Marts, 2855 Perkiomen Ave, October 24, failed. Observed four gallons of milk released for sale past the 10/20/22 sell-by date. There were also two half-gallons of chocolate milk put up for sale beyond the 10/16/2022 sell-by date. I observed two unopened bulk packs of cheddarwurst sausages in the cold room with evident mold on the produce. The food establishment has sanitizer test strips in the 3-compartment sink, but the container is damaged and the strips are not easily accessible. Corrected. Some of the soda nozzles and the soda unit ice chute, food contact surfaces, had residue and were not clean to sight and touch. Plastic clamshell containers for hot dogs are not stored upside down to protect the food contact surface. The food establishment lost its certified food employee more than 3 months ago and has not replaced the certified food employee as required. The roof of the storage area behind the counter has a water leak and needs to be repaired.
