On Celebrity Edition’s Worst Chefs in America: It’s So 90s, chef Anne Burrell mentored her Rockin’ Red Stars team, teaching them how to cook delicious recipes. Her team consisted of 90s stars Elisa Donovan from cluelessTracey Gold from Growing painsMarc Long from Traffic Laws, and Nicholle Tom of The nanny. Anne and her team went head-to-head, with Mentor Chef Jeff Mauro’s Blue Team, featuring Lori Beth Denberg of All thatJennie Kwan from california dreamsMatthew Lawrence of Mrs. DoubtfireJodie Sweetin from Full houseand Curtis Williams of The parent’s hood.


Every week the The worst cooks famous recruits participated in a culinary boot camp, in which they were taught to cook various meals, some of which had 90s themes. Although each week’s food shared the same themes, Anne and Jeff learned their teams how to make different recipes. As contestants learned to follow recipes and use cooking utensils correctly, their cooking improved. Each episode featured a warm-up challenge, in which contestants played games and cooked, and a main course challenge. In the end, Anne chose Tracey to fight Jodie from Jeff’s The worst cooks team in the final. They prepared a restaurant-quality three-course meal for guest judges Ilan Hall, Nilou Motamed and Ayesha Nurdjaja. Tracey won the contest, winning the $25,000 prize for her charity, the Surfrider Foundation.

fans of The worst cooks fun to watch the funny mistakes and goofy antics that happen in the kitchen, but the show is also surprisingly inspiring. As Anne taught her team how to cook and bake various dishes in the main dish challenges, they really improved their skills. They returned home with the possibility of cooking them good meals. Episode 1 – Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Peas, Carrots and Peppers

For the first America’s worst cooks main dish challenge of the season, rookies were asked to replicate elevated versions of classic TV dinners that were popular in the 90s. Episode 2 – Steak Oscar with King Crab, Hollandaise Sauce and Sauteed Asparagus

In Episode 2, Anne and Jeff taught their teams how to make the classic and elegant Steak Oscar, a French dish from the late 1890s, for the main course challenge. According to Jeff, the original dish consisted of a fillet topped with chunk crabmeat, covered in an emulsified butter sauce, with a side of asparagus. The rookie of the The worst cooks The red team that best replicated Anne’s Steak Oscar dish was Elisa, who joked about hugging Anne in celebration. Episode 3 – Holstein Pork Schnitzel with Austrian Potato Salad and Pickled Cucumbers

For episode 3, the The worst cooks boot camp was turned into WC Peaks, a winter lodge. For the main course challenge, Anne and Jeff showed how to make classic European schnitzel with potato sides. Anne explained that schnitzel is traditionally a very thin piece of veal, breaded and fried, but her recipe used pork instead. The rookies had to put their own twist alongside the potato. Anne made Jeff recoil in fear by demanding that her recruits use a mandolin to slice their cucumbers. Episode 4 – Coconut Red Curry with Bok Choy Stir Fry and Jasmine Coconut Rice

In the episode 4 main course challenge, the The worst cooks celebrities have learned to make curry seafood dishes. The recruits were horrified when they discovered they had to fillet a whole fish. Celebrities had to use vegetables and flavorings of their choice. Anne thought Elisa had made the best curry and declared her the winner for the second time. Episode 5 – Peach and Blueberry Pastry Pocket with Vanilla Frosting and Candied Almonds

The The worst cooks the mentors sweetened things up in episode 5, with a main course challenge that required them to make pastry pockets filled with fruit. The recruits learned to make dough from scratch. They topped off the pastry pockets with their choice of toppings, icings, and nuts. Episode 6 – Agnolotti with sausage and ricotta filling and cherry tomato and pancetta burst sauce

For Episode 6, recruits had to complete the “im-pasta-ble” mission to make fresh pasta and sauce from scratch. According to Anne, agnolotti are basically ravioli, but instead of being two pieces of pasta stuck together, they’re stuffed and folded over. The The worst cooks the recruits had to recreate the pasta recipe, but give their own flavor to the agnolotti and a sauce. Although Anne said that all of the remaining recruits, Tracey, Elisa and Mark, had passed, and it was a tough decision, she declared Elisa the winner of her third The worst cooks challenge. Episode 7 – Last Three Course Meal

Anne brought Tracey with her to the final. They worked together to create a restaurant-quality three-course meal. Although they planned the menu together during the competition, Tracey had to cook the entire meal on her own. Anne was only allowed to coach her, but could not touch or taste anything. The first course included fried green tomatoes with shattered cherry tomatoes, pancetta and lobster. Course two featured seared lamb chops with roasted radishes and green beans, black olives, pine nuts, fennel, and scalloped potato cake with goat cheese and dill. Tracey completed it The worst cooks meal with a third dessert of gooseberry crostata and blueberry cream with brown sugar caramel sauce. After facing Jodie, Tracey won America’s Worst Chefs: Celebrity Edition.
