RVD signs an exclusive licensing agreement for its cannabis products
RVD is certainly one of the most technically gifted professional wrestlers to ever compete in the world of professional wrestling. The icon participated in several promotions such as ECW, WCW, WWE and IMPACT Wrestling during his career which spanned more than thirty years.
The Whole F’n Show became a fan of the professional wrestling world in the ’80s and realized he wanted to do it his whole life. In fact, RVD was also told early in his career that he was actually related to Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Fans are well aware of RVD’s love for cannabis. It was recently announced that RVD has signed an exclusive license agreement with Grapefruit USA, a California-based cannabiotech company and cannabis distributor. The deal will see Grapefruit bring RVD’s cannabis products, under its RVD CBD brand, to the California retail market.
Bradley J. Yourist, CEO and Co-Founder of Grapefruit, commented in today’s press release. “Our industry has matured over the past few years, and that maturation has fundamentally focused success in the retail market around effective product branding. There’s a lot of competition for storage space. products in retail stores. Retailers are looking to brands that are likely to generate the most sales, and well-known cannabis brands are the ones consumers will choose. Our strategic partnership with Rob Van Dam and his team complements natural. Rob is a cannabis pioneer with a large and loyal following. His cannabis brand, RVD, has an edge that other cannabis products lack and is adapting to the new “Cannabis 3.0” environment, which is to create exciting and popular branded cannabis and hemp products. We look forward to expanding our footprint in California and eventually nationally, bringing the highest quality RVD cannabis products to California cannabis consumers and patients who need to improve their health and well-being. Grapefruit’s plan for transitioning to a science-based cannabiotech company remains unchanged as we capitalize on Cannabis 3.0 in California.
Rob Van Dam was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year and also presented Vince McMahon with a bunch of rolling papers, which McMahon found very funny. We will have to see if he will return to WWE or not.
